Motorcyclist Critically Injured in St. James Crash, According to SCPD

SCPD are investigating a crash that critically injured a motorcyclist in St. James.

St. James, NY - March 6, 2018 - Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are investigating a crash that critically injured a motorcyclist in St. James, New York on Monday, March 5, 2018.
 
Steven A. Perrone was operating a 2006 Suzuki motorcycle eastbound on Route 25A, just west of Acorn Road, when the motorcycle left the roadway and crashed into a guardrail at approximately 11:30 p.m. 
 
Perrone, 34, of East Setauket, New York was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital where he is in critical condition.
 
The motorcycle was impounded for a safety check.
 
The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information about the crash to call the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8452.
