AMI ANNOUNCES ITS 2023 SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS

Suffolk County, New York, February 16, 2023 - The Association of Marine Industries of Eastern Long Island (AMI) has selected their 2023 Scholarship Recipients, Jennifer Luke of Safe Harbor Marinas, Evan Mendelman of Seacoast Enterprises Associates Inc. and Emma DeTour of Safe Harbor Marinas. These recipients were each awarded a $1,000 scholarship to be used for funding towards secondary education expenses.
 
About the AMI Scholarship: Three scholarships of $1,000 each are awarded to an employee or direct family member of an AMI member in good standing. The awardees shall be students who will be attending any post-secondary education program, currently attend any post-secondary education program or vocational program. Applicants have to write a one-page essay on a topic chosen by the AMI Board of Directors. This year’s topic was “How to solve the workforce shortage in the marine industry”.
