Major Case Bureau detectives are investigating a Bank Robbery that occurred on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 12:15 pm in Oceanside.

Update - March 1st, 2016 - The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of Melvin Olivo, 34, of Foxhurst Road, Oceanside on Monday February 29, 2016 for the above listed crime.

He is charged with Robbery 1st degree and will be arraigned on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at First District Court in Hempstead.

Oceanside, NY - February 28th, 2016 - Major Case Bureau detectives are investigating a Bank Robbery that occurred on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 12:15 pm in Oceanside.

According to detectives, a Hispanic male entered TD Bank, 247 Long Beach Road, approached a teller and passed her a demand note for money.

After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject, who was described as being 5’8” tall, 160 pounds, 30-35 years old and wearing a dark colored sweater, fled the bank in an unknown direction.

No injuries were reported as a result of the Robbery.
