Many Long Islanders didn’t expect to see this much snow on the ground on Sunday after the record-breaking warmth that felt like spring had actually sprung in early February - no matter what the groundhogs said. With Super Bowl today and Valentines Day on Monday, people had to scramble to make sure their plans weren’t thwarted by the snowfall. Up to four inches of snow is predicted once it stops at around 8pm tonight, wll after kickoff.
