Update: January 28th, 2014 - The Missing Persons Squad reports that missing Shakeem Smith, 14 years of age and Gabriel Hernandez, 16 years of age were located on Tuesday, January 28, 2014.

Syosset, NY - January 27th, 2014 -  The Missing Persons Squad reports the details of three missing juveniles that occurred on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at 8:00 pm from Syosset.

According to detectives, Gabriel Hernandez, age 16, a male black, Jonathan Acevedo, age 15, a male white Hispanic, and Shakeem Smith, age 14, a male black, were last seen leaving Mercy First Group Home, 525 Convent Road, at approximately 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 26, 2014. One of the missing, Shakeem Smith, suffers from a cognitive disability.

Detectives are seeking the public’s help in locating these juveniles and request anyone with information on their whereabouts to contact the Nassau County Police Department Missing Persons Squad at (516) 573-7347 or to call 911.
