Syosset, NY - November 19th, 2013 -  In an effort to help keep adults and children warm this winter, Homes By Mara Realty President and Owner Mara Navaretta and her agents are hosting a holiday coat drive now through Christmas. Spearheaded by Homes By Mara Agent Linda Freedman, donations for the coat drive can be dropped off daily between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. to Homes By Mara’s collection box, located at its office, Suite 205 at 567 Jericho Turnpike in Syosset. Pick up arrangements for bulk coat contributions can be made by contacting Freedman at 917-743-2724.  All coats collected will be donated to the Garden City office of the national organization, One Warm Coat, which will distribute the coats to those in need.

Getting a jumpstart on its holiday coat drive collection, Navaretta and several of her agents have already made coat donations of their own and are hoping others will join in participating. “As a community business, we have a responsibility to recognize and show our support for others within our community who are in need,” explains Navaretta,  whose realty regularly contributes donations to such charities as Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation and held a toy/coat drive last year for individuals impacted by Superstorm Sandy. “We encourage everyone to make a donation and look forward to a successful coat drive that is certain to not just warm the bodies of those we are trying to help this winter, but also their hearts.”

Anyone with questions or seeking further information about Homes By Mara’s holiday coat drive can contact 516-364-2500.
