Nassau County Police Investigating Plainview Car-Jacking; Vehicle Owner Forced Out at Knifepoint, Officials Report

Second Squad Detectives are investigating a Robbery that occurred on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 9:00 pm in Plainview.
 
According to detectives, officers responded to The French Workshop located at 417 S. Oyster Bay Road for a stolen car. Upon arrival, officers were informed a female victim, 48, was seated and sleeping in the rear of a 2019 Audi Q7 which was parked. The victim’s husband, 48, and a second male, 68, exited the idling vehicle and entered The French Workshop. The female victim awoke when the vehicle suddenly used its brakes. 
 
The unknown male subject operating the vehicle noticed the victim seated in the rear, displayed a knife and demanded she exit. The victim complied and the vehicle fled northbound on S. Oyster Bay Road.
 
No injuries were reported.
