NCPD: Westbury Man in Custody on Multiple Counts of Drug Possession

Westbury, NY - January 2, 2017 - The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Westbury man for Narcotics that occurred in Westbury on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 7:47 pm.
 
According to detectives, Third Precinct police responded to a disturbance call at a residence on Land Lane. Upon arrival, police spoke to the defendant Raphael Tal, 31, who stated to them that his girlfriend called and said she needed to come by and pick up her personal belongings since they were not getting along. 
 
Third Precinct police were escorted into the residence by the defendant so they could assist in retrieving her personal property. While inside, the officer’s observed 10 grams of marijuana and multiple THC cartridges on the living room coffee table. The defendant Raphael Tal was then placed into police custody without incident. There were no injuries reported. Further investigation revealed Defendant Tal was also in possession of a pound of marijuana, 24 grams of concentrated Cannabis Wax, 21 grams of Ecstasy, 40 grams of liquid concentrated Cannibis, and a canister containing a small amount of Ketamine.
 
Defendant Raphael Tal is charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, two counts of Criminal Possession 4th Degree, two counts of Criminal Possession 5th Degree, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree  and Criminal Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree. He will be arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Sunday, December 31, 2017.
