Shadmoor State Park offers 2,400 feet of oceanfront beach just outside of Montauk village.  Home to the federally-endangered sand plain gerardia pant and two World War II era concrete bunkers, Shadmoor is a great destination to relax, swim, fish or enjoy historic views.
 
The beach also has bluffs and freshwater wetlands that are part of the preserve. For those who like to enjoy nature, there are liking trails and platforms for birdwatching. Visitors can picnic and fish on this beach.
