The Homicide Squad reports the details of a Fatal Vehicular Accident involving a pedestrian that occurred on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 2:03 a.m. in Oceanside.
According to Detectives, while attempting to cross Merrick Road in the vicinity of Oceanside Road a male pedestrian was struck by a 2020 Honda Accord traveling eastbound on Merrick Road. The adult male suffered severe trauma and was pronounced at scene at 2:09 a.m. by a Nassau County Police Medic.
The male operator remained at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
