Get your dance shoes on to party on Long Island! On Monday, Jacto Dance Studio will have licensed ZUMBA instructor Sonia A. Lepore on hand to lead in the Party in Pink™ Zumbaton® charity event. The event goes to benefit cancer research with Susan G. Komen For the Cure. On Tuesday, you can enjoy a night of tango and other dances with Argentine Tango Lovers of Long Island. If country dancing is more your style, then make sure to stop by Lily Flanagan’s on Thursday night where there will be four different dance lessons. Other entertainment during the week includes Halloween theme attractions, open mic nite at The Dark Horse Restaurant, a performance with Eastern Phoebes and Hypnosmoothie at Patchogue Theatre For The Performing Arts and a fascinating documentary screening at Cinema Arts Centre of Sushi: The Global Catch. MONDAY – OCTOBER 8, 2012

Who: Party in Pink™ Zumbathon® Charity Event at Jacto Dance Studio
Info: This charity event is presented by Zumba Fitness. Stop by Jacto Dance Studio for some fun dancing, which will also support a good cause. The charity event benefits Susan G. Komen For the Cure. You get unlimited dance time with Sonia A. Lepore, a licensed ZUMBA instructor, leading the party. There will also be door prizes and raffles.
Cost: $15 Cash

Who: Bayville Scream Park
Info: This Halloween theme park is complete with five thrilling haunted attractions. The Bay Family Mansion and Bayville Adventure Park is transformed with spooky ghosts and goblins. It features the Bloodworth Huanted Mansion, Uncle Needle’s Fun House of Fear, Temple of Terror, Zombie Pirates and Evil in the Woods. For the younger ones, there’s the pumpkin bounce, pumpkin patch, the spooky Halloween train, hayrides, candy apple and more. The event continues to run through November 4.
Cost: $5.75 to $44.75 (depends on attraction)

TUESDAY – OCTOBER 9, 2012

Who: Tango Tuesdays At Mirelle’s Restaurant & Catering
Info: Argentine Tango Lovers of Long Island is offering diversified dance lessons for those at the beginners and intermediate level. Lessons are provided by Diego Blanco and Ana Padron. There’s also a full buffet dinner included with the admission cost.
Cost: $18 with full buffet dinner

Who: Documentary – Sushi: The Global Catch at Cinema Arts Center
Info: The Blue Fin Tuna and many other fishes are top selections on sushi menus, but it is all at risk of extinction due to overfishing. Watch this fascinating 75-minute documentary to explore the topic more and get insight on how we can continue to enjoy this delicacy and still preserve what’s in the ocean.

Who: Open Mic Nite At The Dark Horse Restaurant
Info: Enjoy a night of mixed talent, from singers, musicians to comedians at The Dark Horse Restaurant’s open mic nite. This relaxed, French-style restaurant also offers a cozy and intimate setting whether you’re there for dinner or drinks.

Who: Haunted House at Tri-County Flea Market
Info: Get ready to be scared! The Haunted House is 3,000 sq. ft. large. Its completely decorated with a graveyard, ghouls and goblins, a butcher room, bloody corpses hanging and monsters at every corner. Enjoy some creepy fun Halloween fun! The attraction continues to run until November 4.

THURSDAY – OCTOBER 11, 2012

Who: Country Night at Lily Flanagan’s
Info: Lily Flanagan’s knows how to keep the night going. It has Thursday Coors and country night with four different dance lessons. If sports is more your style, football games will be available on its TV screens.

Who: Eastern Phoebes And Hypnosmoothie Perform At Patchogue Theatre For The Performing Arts
Info: Ryan Smith and Meg Bayley of Eastern Phoebes will perform their latest CD hit complete with songs that bring back memories of The Beach Boys. Eastern Phoebes will also be joined by Rick Kattermann and Gary Norton. The opening performance will appear with Hypnosmoothie. Enjoy a night of musical performances by great talent.
