Well I sure had that information all confused for the Dick Clark auditions! Sometimes I think the world would be a better place if I just hid my keyboard!

What a turn out we had for the auditions! And yours truly was even talked into trying out, though it did take a while and I became singer #94! It was a loooong night...

I'm not sure if Dick Clark himself showed up incognito, he may have been one of the Elvis impersonators for all I know.

The auditions got off to a late start and ended only about 4 and a half hours later than it's predicted 11PM closing! ARGH!

But it seemed a good time was had by all and everyone sounded great!

Where did all of these people come from? It sure was wonderful proof that Karaoke is far from dying off and I was one happy camper to see that.

Before each person would audition, they would have to state their name and other personal info, as well as where they heard about the auditions. Every now and then, when I was able to hear what was being said, I would hear "I read about it on a website" (gee, I wonder which site that was...) and I also heard a woman say she read about it @ LongIsland.com! YAY! We love those 'plugs'!

The video tapes are on their way to the left coast to be viewed. With all of the auditions they are holding, that is gonna be one heck of a job!

I sure wish John had been able to get down there, we would have been the only male and female duet signed up. (Everyone was asking for you John!)

I loved being able to finally put faces and smiles to many e-mail addresses that have become very familiar in my mail box! Carol did a great job of keeping things running smoothly! Now if they could only expand their parking facilities for the next auditions...thank goodness for the Big King Kullen lot across the street!

I wish everyone the best of luck and look forward to seeing some of you on TV!

I do believe this will be the last week for the Karaoke Expert Page. I'd like to thank everyone who has sent me e-mails in the past and I hope you keep getting out there to sing and have fun because that's what it's all about! It's been my pleasure being your resident 'expert' and I hope some of the things I have written have helped you along the way. Have fun out there and sing one for me! : )
