Suffolk County Police today arrested an East Meadow man for driving while intoxicated after he was driving the wrong direction on Sunrise Highway in Sayville early this morning.
A 911 caller reported a vehicle driving westbound in the eastbound lanes of Sunrise Highway. A patrol officer from the Safe-T Team responded and pulled the vehicle over onto the shoulder by Exit 51, at 3:37 a.m.
Gabriel Grande, 30, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated. He is being held at the Sixth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned this morning at First District Court in Central Islip.
