About the Michael Magro Foundation

The Hicksville-based Michael Magro Foundation was established in 2005 by Michael’s parents to honor his life. Its mission is to better the lives of children with cancer, pediatric cancer survivors, and their families, as well as other chronic pediatric illnesses. It helps families navigate a stressful and turbulent time in their lives and to meet the complex issues of care. The Foundation provides financial assistance for medical expenses that are not covered through insurance, mortgage/rent, holiday meals and gifts for children, and more.
