This week, you get to enjoy great performing arts shows on Long Island like Singin’ in the Rain and Freckleface Strawberry. MONDAY – JULY 22, 2013

Who: Freckleface Strawberry At  Broad Hollow Theatre At Elmont
Info: Enjoy this new musical where Freckleface Strawberry will do anything to get rid of her freckles. It’s a touching story teaching her valuable lessons about love, friendship and true beauty – and to accept yourself the way you are.

Who: Mambo Loco At The Suffolk Theater
Info: Enjoy some “old school” Latin and Latin jazz music with Mambo Loco. Mambo Loco has become synonymous with the classic music of Afro-Cuban and Puerto Rican origin.

TUESDAY – JULY 23, 2013

Who: Long Island International Film Expo At Bellmore Movies
Info: It’s one of Long Island’s largest regional film festivals. This year’s festival includes 150 short and feature-length independent films from 48 countries representing a variety of genres. There are also films from New York and films with local ties to Long Island.

Who: Grant Park Pond Patio Show – Yesterdaze Songs of the ‘50s & ‘60s
Info: As part of the Grant Park Patio Shows summer concert, come out to enjoy music from the ‘50s and ‘60s.

Who:  Terryville Fire Department Carnival
Info: Come out to join the Terryville Fire Department for a fun carnival complete with fireworks on this first night and live band performances. The carnival continues through July 28.

Who: The Bronx Wanderers At Tanner Park
Info: The Bronx Wanderers will mix oldies and rock and roll favorites as it performs for the Town of Babylon Summer Concert Series. Please bring a nonperishable food item to help stock the Town of Babylon Food Pantry.

THURSDAY – JULY 25, 2013

Who: A Night Of Comedy For A Cause At The Brokerage At Bellmore
Info: The comedy night is hosted by Evan Weiss and features Kathy Arnold, Mo Diggs, Scott Schendlinger, Josh Alba, Keith Leanza and George D’Agostino. There’s a two beverage per person minimum at the tables.

Who: Singin’ In The Rain At Patchogue Theatre For The Performing Arts
Info: Enjoy one of the most beloved and celebrated romantic-comedy films of all time through this on stage performance. It takes you back to the 1920s and you get to enjoy classic songs like ‘Good Mornin,’ ‘Make ‘Em Laugh’ and ‘You’re My Lucky Star.’ It continues to play through Aug.10.
