A young woman from Long Island came forward on Friday to share her unsettling encounter with Rex Heuermann, the suspect in the Gilgo Beach murders. The incident took place earlier this month in a park, leaving the woman so shaken that she felt compelled to file a police report.

Identified as Ally, a 25-year-old who chose to withhold her last name, she expressed shock upon realizing that the man apprehended for the killings was the same individual who had approached her on July 3 in Brady Park. Notably, Brady Park is located just a short drive away from Heuermann's residence on 1st Avenue in Massapequa Park.

In an exclusive interview with The Post, Ally recounted the incident, stating, "I was going for a bike ride over in Brady Park, and he came up behind me, asking me what time it was." She went on to describe the 59-year-old architect's peculiar behavior, saying he attempted to compliment her, inquiring if she frequented the park and even asking for her name.

Ally further revealed, "He had very dirty clothes on. He popped right out of the woods. Everywhere I went in the woods, he would pop out somewhere." She expressed her distress as he persistently bothered her, approaching her on two separate occasions during her time at the park.

Eventually, feeling increasingly upset by Heuermann's actions, Ally reached out to her sister, requesting that she come to pick her up. "That's when I got (my sister) on the phone because I got nervous. She had to pick me up. I couldn't even go home from my bike ride," she recollected.

As a result of the unsettling encounter, Ally took the proactive step of filing a police report to document the incident and ensure her concerns were addressed.
