NCPD: Suspect Busted After Allegedly Phone-Scamming Over $16,000 from 86 Year-Old Victim

NCPD reports the arrest of Henri Daniel Jr. of Pennsylvania, 25, for Grand Larceny.

Levittown, NY - February 11, 2019 - The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of a Pennsylvania man for a Grand Larceny that occurred at 8:40 a.m. on Friday, February 8, 2019 in Levittown.
 
According to Burglary Pattern Team Detectives, defendant Henri Daniel Jr., 25, of Allentown, PA, contacted the male victim, 86, at his Florida residence. On Wednesday, February 6, 2019 Daniel informed the victim a relative was involved in an auto accident and he needed to send $8,700 US currency for legal fees. The victim complied and was contacted by the defendant again on February 7, 2019 for an additional $8,000 US currency. The defendant was arrested when he took the package containing the money sent by the victim.
 
Defendant Henri Daniel Jr. is charged with Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, Conspiracy 5th Degree, Coercion 2nd Degree, Grand Larceny 4th Degree, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th Degree and Attempted Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3rd Degree. The defendant will be arraigned on Saturday, February 9, 2019 in First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
