SterlingRisk Insurance has launched a “Lunch is on us” campaign for front-line personnel at Long Island nursing homes and senior care facilities who are keeping residents safe, comfortable, and comforted during the COVID-19 pandemic. The announcement was made by SteringRisk CEO David Sterling.

“In every neighborhood and community across Long Island, there are unsung heroes going to work to help those in need during this unprecedented time,” observed Sterling.  “We wanted to thank them for their efforts and ultimately decided on the men and women who staff our region’s nursing homes and senior living residences.  Our amazing staff is coordinating with administrators, researching which restaurants make deliveries, and taking care of all the details so that these workers can enjoy a break from their busy schedules. We’ve already had deliveries made to several senior care facilities and look forward to providing additional ‘Lunch is on us’ days over the coming weeks.”

SterlingRisk Programs President Geraldine DelPrete is spearheading the current campaign. “This is clearly an opportunity to mobilize and make a difference,” she noted. “It’s what SterlingRisk is all about. In the best of times, our programs provide peace of mind to restaurant owners, mental health professionals, and others who are now impacted by today’s events. We wanted to do more. To echo this spring’s rallying cry, ‘We will get through this together.’”

Already receiving catered staff lunches from SterlingRisk were Sunharbor Manor, Roslyn, NY; St Johnland Nursing Center, Kings Park, NY; and St. Catherine of Siena Nursing and Rehabilitation Care Center, Smithtown, NY. Jefferson’s Ferry of Centereach, NY, is scheduled for the coming week.

SterlingRisk has a long history of promoting positive values, encouraging volunteerism, and supporting those in need, including raising over $63,000 for the American Heart Association in recent years.
