Reports: Baldwin Pizza Delivery Man Paid with Counterfeit $100 Bill, then Assaulted

Baldwin, NY - February 13, 2019 - First Squad detectives are investigating a robbery that occurred on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at 8:20 pm in Baldwin.
 
According to detectives, a Domino’s delivery driver was delivering food to residence on Stratford Road in Baldwin when he was approached by a male black, 5’8” tall and approximately 17 years old, who attempted to pay for the food with a counterfeit $100 bill. 
 
The delivery driver confronted the subject about the $100 bill being counterfeit after giving him $62.00 in change for the food. The subject then struck the victim in the head with a metal pipe. At this time the victim saw two other male black subjects with unknown descriptions run into the rear of this location fleeing the scene in an unknown direction. 
 
Victim returned to his vehicle and yelled for help to a person across the street to call police. He was transported to an area hospital for a laceration to his head.
