If there's one thing that brings together Long Islanders, it's certainly the incredible bagels that we are known for. Some swear by the bagel-making processes that Long Islanders hold dear as the reason for the unrivaled quality. Some say that it's all in the mineral-rich water from aquifers that gives the bagels their unique taste. Regardless of the reason, what can be guaranteed is that the best bagels in the world can be found at some of Long Island's hundereds of shops.

As February 9th is National Bagel Day, there could not be a better time to spotlight some of our favorite shops. With an unfathomable amount of choices, everyone is going to have their favorite, so be sure to share your thoughts on our selections and your favorite spot in the comments below!
