Valentine Oreo Pops
Here is an easy recipe to do with your kids and have them bring in to school as a Valentine party snack!

Ingredients:

  • Chocolate (any color/flavor)
  • Double stuffed Oreos
  • Valentine-themed sprinkles

Directions: Heat up chocolate in a double boiler or a chocolate warmer, stirring often.  When the chocolate has melted, open up each Oreo and stick lollipop sticks to one side of the cream filling, and put a spot of chocolate on the stick to keep it glued together, then put the other side of the cookie back on. Holding onto the lollipop stick, dip the Oreo into the melted chocolate and use a spoon to scoop chocolate onto the Oreo to cover the entire cookie.  Then, roll the Oreo in sprinkles.  Place the Oreo pops on a sheet of wax paper and allow them to set for 20 minutes.

Valentine’s Day Blondies
Put a twist on your regular blondies with some pink and red M&Ms!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1- 1/2 cups Valentines pink and red M&Ms

Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Mix flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt and put aside.  Melt 1/3 of a cup of butter and put in a medium-sized bowl.  Add brown sugar and mix well, then allow the mixture to cool slightly.  Add the egg and vanilla, and blend together well.  Pour the dry mixture into the wet mix a little bit at a time, mixing well. Lastly, add 2/3 of a cup of M&Ms.  Spray the bottom of a 9x9 pan with vegetable spray, then pour in the mixture and spread evenly.  Sprinkle the remaining M&Ms on top and bake for 20-25 minutes. Allow to cool, and enjoy.

Stained Glass Sugar Cookie Hearts
You'll be sure to get some "oohs" and "aahs" with these simple cookies with a stained-glass effect!

Ingredients:

  • 1 box sugar cookie mix and necessary ingredients
  • Jolly Ranchers

Directions: Prepare sugar cookie mix according to directions on the box.  Roll out the cookie dough and use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out shapes.  Use a spatula to move the hearts to a baking sheet, and then use a smaller heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out the center of the larger heart cookies.  Place to different colored Jolly Ranchers in the empty space in the middle of each heart and proceed to bake the cookies according to the directions on the box.  Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.  When storing the cookies, put a layer of wax paper between them to prevent the “stained glass” Jolly Rancher centers from sticking.

Valentine’s Muddy Buddies
If you're having a Valentine's Day with the kids or you want to have a fun day with friends, these themed muddy buddies will make your day even sweeter!

Ingredients:

  • 5 oz white chocolate chips
  • 5 oz red candy melts
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 5 cups Chex cereal
  • 1 cup strawberry cake mix
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 package Valentine’s pink and red M&Ms

Directions: Split the Chex cereal between two bowls with 2.5 cups of Chex in each.  Melt the white chocolate in a microwave safe dish, then add the butter to make it smoother.  Microwave the mix for 30 seconds at a time, being careful not to burn the chocolate.  Pour the chocolate and butter over the first bowl of Chex, mixing it well so that it evenly coats the cereal.  Put the red candy melts in a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 30 seconds at a time to melt it, just like with the chocolate.  Once the red candy is melted and smooth, pour it over the second bowl of Chex and mix until well coated.  Take two gallon-sized Ziploc bags, and put half of the strawberry cake mix and half of the powdered sugar in each bag.  Pour each bowl of Chex mix into each of the bags and shake until coated. Pour the contents of both bags into a large bowl, and mix with M&Ms.
