It’s that time of year again, Long Island! Whether you're heading to Jones Beach or just looking for a cool treat on a hot summer day, 7-Eleven’s iconic Free Slurpee Day is making its annual return — and yes, you can grab your free frozen drink right here on the Island.

When is Free Slurpee Day 2025?
Friday, July 11 — mark your calendars. Known nationally as 7-Eleven Day, this frozen tradition takes place every year on 7/11 to celebrate the convenience store chain’s birthday.

Where Can You Get One?
There are dozens of 7-Eleven locations across Nassau and Suffolk Counties, so whether you're in Huntington, Hicksville, Patchogue, or Port Jefferson, there’s likely a spot near you. Just walk in between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. and enjoy a free small Slurpee — no strings attached.

How It Works
In years past, 7-Eleven required you to use their app for Free Slurpee Day. This year, you can simply walk in to any participating 7-Eleven, Speedway, or Stripes store to claim your free small Slurpee. No app needed, no purchase necessary — just good vibes and brain freeze.

Bonus Deals for Rewards Members
If you do use the 7Rewards or Speedy Rewards app, there’s more in store. Rewards members will receive a coupon for another free small Slurpee to use any time between July 12–31, giving you two chances to sip this summer.

What Flavors Will Be Available?
Flavors vary by location, but fan favorites like Blue Raspberry, Pina Colada, and Cherry are usually on tap. Some Long Island stores may also feature limited-time or nostalgic flavors — perfect for Slurpee die-hards.

A Cool Tradition Since the 2000s
7-Eleven started Free Slurpee Day back in 2002 as a way to celebrate its birthday and give back to its loyal customers. The tradition quickly took off and has become a fun, annual treat across the country — especially here on Long Island, where the humidity makes a frozen drink that much more satisfying.

Pro Tip:
Grab your Slurpee early in the day — popular flavors tend to run out fast at busy Long Island stores. And yes, you can bring the kids. It’s a fun, family-friendly tradition to beat the heat without spending a dime.
