Farmingdale, NY - October 13, 2016 - The Second Squad reports the arrest of a Farmingdale man for Prohibited Use of a Weapon which occurred on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 11:28 p.m. in Farmingdale.

According to detectives, Second Precinct Officers responded to a call for Shots fired on Lyons Avenue at approximately 9:30 p.m. Upon their arrival they were informed by the residents that they observed their rear neighbor, Corey Gloe, 20, of Farmingdale, fire a 12 Gauge Shotgun in his yard. They also informed the officers that earlier in the evening at approximately 5:00 p.m. the female was in her yard with her 3 year old daughter when she observed Gloe discharge the shotgun into the air but did not notify police at that time.

The officers entered the rear yard at 17 Tomes where they observed Gloe and two friends, a male 20 and a female 19, sitting in the yard.  While speaking to the defendant and friends, the officers observed numerous shotgun shells on the ground.  As the investigation progressed the female informed the officers that Gloe had placed the weapon in the trunk of her car in front of the home. The weapon was recovered and Gloe was placed under arrest without incident.

Gloe is charged with (2) two counts of Prohibited Use of a Weapon, (2) two counts of Reckless Endangerment 1st degree, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He will be arraigned on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at First District Court in Hempstead.
