Driving may be difficult for high profile vehicles. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Wind Advisory is issued when sustained winds of 31 to 39 mph... or gusts of 46 to 57 mph...are expected or occurring. NCPD: Robbery in West Hempstead

A 24-year-old woman was robbed outside of her place of work.

West Hempstead, NY - July 25, 2014 - The Fourth Squad reports the details of a Robbery that occurred on Friday, July 25, 2014 at 9:30 A.M. in West Hempstead.
According to detectives, a 24 year old female exited her place of employment on Hempstead Turnpike and was walking to her car when a male black subject (no further description), knocked her down and grabbed her pocketbook containing an undetermined amount of US currency and personal property. Subject fled on foot westbound on Hempstead Turnpike turned onto Greenway South where he was observed entering a white four door sedan.  That vehicle was being operated by a second male black (no further description) which fled westbound on East Greenway Street.  Victim had minor injuries and refused medical attention.
Detectives request anyone with information regarding the above crime to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.  All callers will remain anonymous.
