The week is also packed with other entertainment on Long Island, including ballet performances, salsa dancing, a hockey game with the Islanders and more. Check out the details below!

MONDAY – OCTOBER 21, 2013

Who: Johannes Brahms – Sublime Master Of The Romantic Era At Plainview-Old Bethpage Public Library
Info: Music educator and concert pianist Dr. Judith Alstadter discusses the life and music of Johannes Brahms, known for the Romantic Era. Dr. Alstadter will also play musical selections of Brahms’ most beloved work.

Who: Ballet Long Island’s Costume Sale Fundraiser
Info: Still looking for a Halloween costume? Stop by Ballet Long Island where it is raising funds for the dancers’ pointe shoes, costumes, ballet slippers and tights with the sale of hundreds of costumes for Halloween, dance solos, shows, plays, recitals and more.

Who: How Sweet It Is At The Gold Coast International Film Festival
Info: Through this Sunday, enjoy the film festival that brings the latest Hollywood hits and Indie favorites. Today features How Sweet It Is with a Q&A with Paul Sorvino. It’s a hilarious musical comedy about an alcoholic theater owner who needs to put together a successful musical in order to pay off his mob debt. However, problems arise when the wise guys want to cast their friends in the production.
