Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Town of Riverhead police are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the woman who attempted to purchase items at a Riverhead store with counterfeit money in November.

Riverhead, NY - December 30th, 2013 -  Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Town of Riverhead police are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the woman who attempted to purchase items at a Riverhead store with counterfeit money in November.

A woman entered a store, located at 758 Old Country Road, and attempted to purchase two items with a counterfeit $100 bill on November 22, 2013. The woman fled the store at approximately 7:45 p.m.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
