A special event on December 10 marked the culmination of weeks of toy drives around Brookhaven Town that resulted in thousands of toys being donated for needy local children.

During the Brookhaven Town Youth Bureau and JVC Broadcasting’s INTERFACE Holiday Toy Drive event, on-air personalities from all five JVC radio stations broadcast live throughout the day in the lobby of Town Hall.

JVC Broadcasting stations in New York include, Party 105.3, La Fiesta 98.5, LI News Radio 103.9, My Country 96.1, and Oldies 98.1.

The Holiday Toy Drive provided gifts for children ranging in age from infant to 15-year-old. In 2020, despite the challenges of COVID-19, the Holiday Toy Drive provided toys for 1,181 families in need, including 6,337 children. The Town expected to pass that total this year.
