SCPD: Employees at Bayport, Oakdale, and Medford Stores Arrested for Selling E-Liquid Nicotine to Underage Customers

Three individuals from three separate businesses in Bayport, Oakdale, and Medford were charged with selling e-liquid nicotine – used in vaping – to minors.

The Suffolk County Police Department has reported that employees at three Long Island stores have been charged with allegedly selling e-liquid nicotine to underage customers. 
 
Police say that after receiving numerous community complaints they opened an investigation that resulted in the Saturday, December 17 arrest three individuals from three separate businesses in Bayport, Oakdale, and Medford were charged with selling e-liquid nicotine – used in vaping – to minors. 
 
The three individuals who were arrested are as follows:
 
  • Idalia Butt of Deer Park, age 53, an employee of Mo’s Smoke Shop at 303 Bernice Drive in Bayport
  • Aksh Patel of Bohemia, age 22, an employee at One Stop Beer and Smoke at 949 Montauk Highway in Oakdale
  • Ahmed Jehangir of Selden, age 57, an employee at JMart and Smoke Shop at 580 Route 112 in Medford

 

All three suspects have been charged with unlawfully dealing with a child. 
 
A third business, a Valero gas station at 1628 Montauk Highway in Oakdale, did not sell e-liquid nicotine to a minor when asked.
