Babylon, NY - December 16, 2016 - Businesses in Babylon Village have arranged to erect a Christmas tree that will be decorated with 100 ornaments, each of which holds a wish from a family in need within the community. The businesses are seeking help from the public to fulfill the wishes.

Businesses involved include Long Island Plastic Surgical Group’s Deep Blue Med Spa, Healthy Alternatives holistic center, Pandemonium Boutique and Ooh La La Boutique in collaboration with the Babylon Village Chamber of Commerce.

Families in need were identified by Good Samaritan Hospital and St. Joseph’s Hospital. Each family is struggling with a unique hardship including serious illness and financial stress.

The Giving Tree is located in front of Healthy Alternatives holistic center at 79 Deer Park Avenue in Babylon, NY.

Many families struggle during the holidays, and the challenge is exacerbated when a medical crisis is involved. These local Babylon businesses seek to assist families in need and have secured a Wish List from each of 7 families. Requests range from basics such as socks, slipper and a pair of jeans to utilitarian needs including curtains and a showerhead, as well as toys for critically ill children and a Bible.
