Amityville, NY - December 14, 2017 - Suffolk County Legislature Presiding Officer DuWayne Gregory served as guest speaker at the Suffolk County Crime Victims Center’s (CVC) 2017/2018 Champion Awards and Gala on Thursday, Dec. 7.
 
The Suffolk County CVC is a program of Parents for Megan's Law that provides vital information and multi-agency service referrals for support and assistance to all victims of violent/hate crimes, and elderly, minor and disabled victims of property crimes.
 
“I’d like to thank Laura Ahearn and everyone at the CVC for all of the work they do advocating for victims and making sure they have a voice,” said Presiding Officer Gregory. “I also want to commend and congratulate my colleagues Legislators Leslie Kennedy and Monica Martinez on their awards, which are truly well-deserved.”
