Selden, NY - November 15, 2016 - With construction well underway at what will soon become Long Island’s 33rd Panera Bread bakery-café, those who live and work in and around Selden can expect to be able to drop in for a grilled breakfast sandwich, seasonally fitting salad, broccoli cheddar soup served up in a bread bowl or one of Panera’s signature sandwiches in December. Owned and operated by Doherty Enterprises, the new restaurant will bring 60 jobs to the local economy.
Located at 1 College Plaza, the bakery-café will offer the usual perks like free Wi-Fi and cozy nooks for unwinding along with Rapid Pick-Up, an advanced ordering option for to-go orders, which allows mobile and online ordering via the Panera Mobile App or Website Link to skip the line. Its Fast Lane kiosks will be available to allow for guests ordering in-store to avoid the line, with the added option of table delivery. In addition, this location will be the 3rd Panera Bread on Long Island to feature a convenient drive-through window with quick turnaround times to serve busy guests.

Panera Bread is currently accepting applications for associates with experience (preferred), but not required. Qualified candidates must be 16 and over to apply and are encouraged to apply in person from 9:00AM – 5:00PM at the Selden location with valid identification. Applicants can also fill out an application online. In addition, the bakery-café is hiring managers with two years of management/leadership experience. The Selden Panera Bread will be open from 6:00AM until 10:00PM Monday through Friday, 7:00AM through 10:00PM on Saturday and 7:00AM until 9:00PM on Sunday.
