"BNL's scientific research has led to remarkable advancements in science and physics accomplishments. The Lab's success is evident by the Department of Energy's award of a $3.2 billion contract and the partnership with Stony Brook University. Having been a member of BNL's Community Advisory Committee for over a decade, and now a current member of the Legislative Advisory Committee, I commend the lab on advancing scientific research for the betterment of humanity on a global level, and also working with our local community by both providing jobs and addressing local concerns."
