Long Island, NY - November 17, 2015 - This year, on Tuesday, December 1st, Long Island Crisis Center will be part of a call to action that will change the calendar and help make history on Long Island. We are celebrating a day dedicated to giving: #GivingTuesday. This global movement, which is now right here on Long Island, serves as an important opportunity for charities, families, businesses, and students to all come together and change the way people think about, talk about, and participate in the giving season.

A response to the chaos and consumerism of "Black Friday" and "Cyber Monday," #GivingTuesday isn't about buying anything - it's about joining together, making a difference in our community, and showing support to the causes that our community relies on - life-saving organizations like Long Island Crisis Center.

But, we can't do any of this without YOU! Please take a moment to check out our #GivingTuesday website.  There, you can learn first-hand about our life-saving work and show your support for Long Islanders in need.

Join Us for a Special #GivingTuesday Event

In honor of #GivingTuesday, Long Island Crisis Center will be hosting its first-ever OPEN HOUSE on Tuesday, December 1, from 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm.  This special event will feature a #GivingTuesday presentation, LICC tours, on-the-spot volunteer interviews, information on helping a loved one in crisis, and opportunities to meet other community-minded individuals.

Please click here for more information about attending our open house.
