SCPD arrested Samuel G. Hightower III of Bay Shore, 27, for attempted bank robbery.

Bay Shore, NY - November 14, 2018 - Suffolk County Police arrested a Bay Shore man for attempted bank robbery on on Tuesday, November 13.
 
Samuel G. Hightower III entered Chase bank, located at 840 Sunrise Service Road in Bay Shore and presented a note demanding cash at approximately 3:30 p.m. Hightower fled on foot before the teller could comply.
 
Third Precinct Police Officer Tiffany Torres responded to the bank hold up alarm and located Hightower fleeing the bank.
 
Hightower, 27, of Bay Shore was arrested and charged with Attempted Robbery 3rd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree.
 
Hightower will be held overnight at the Third Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on November 14.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
