Long Island Nets To Tip Off 2023-24 Home Schedule With Weekend Long Celebration At Nassau Coliseum Beginning Friday, Nov. 10

Each of the three games during Opening Weekend will feature limited-edition fan giveaways, LI Nets Dance Team performances, and lawn games located in the North End Zone.

The Long Island Nets, the NBA G League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets, will tip off their 2023-24 home schedule with a weekend long celebration at Nassau Coliseum beginning this Friday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. in a matchup against Raptors 905, presented by Homewood Suites Carle-Place. The LI Nets will round out their Opening Week schedule with back-to-back games against Greensboro Swarm at 7 p.m. on both Saturday, Nov. 11 and Monday, Nov. 13.

Each of the three games during Opening Weekend will feature elevated programming including limited-edition fan giveaways, LI Nets Dance Team performances, and lawn games located in the North End Zone.

For the team’s season opener on Friday, Nov. 10, the LI Nets will distribute limited-edition branded fanny packs to the first 1,000 fans in attendance.

The LI Nets will continue their Opening Week celebration on Saturday, Nov. 11 by welcoming local active-duty service members and veterans to Nassau Coliseum for the team’s Military Appreciation Game. Prior to the game, the Nets will present the game ball to Tyler Horrell, United States Army Veteran and LI Nets season ticket member. The team will also honor two Long Island community members, Janelle McLaughlin, United States Army, and Nick DeJesus, United States Marine Corps, during an on-court presentation for Veterans of the Game, presented by MAS Imaging.

“We are excited to welcome our fans back to Nassau Coliseum this weekend for our eighth season in the NBA G League,” said Morgan Taylor, Vice President of the Long Island Nets. “Supporting our community and honoring local veterans are rooted in our core values and we thank all those who have served.”

To complete Long Island’s Opening Weekend programming, the team will host a food drive on Monday, Nov. 13, in partnership with Long Island Cares – The Harry Chapin Food Bank, a nonprofit organization that seeks to address food insecurity while providing educational resources about the root causes and consequences of hunger on Long Island. Fans who donate nonperishable goods in the designated donation boxes in section one and three will receive a 15 percent discount in the Long Island Nets merchandise store and two free tickets to any Long Island Nets December game.
