Dozens of canine brides and grooms to exchange 'puptuals' on Valentine's Day

It will be true "Puppy Love" this Valentine's Day when Cody, a petite shih tzu and Nico, a demure Maltese tie joins dozens of puppies tying the knot on their leashes, pledging to love, honor and share their doggie bones on Friday, February 14 at 11:45 a.m. at the IBEW Union Hall, 370 Motor Parkway in Hauppauge.

The ceremony is being officiated by New York State Senator Monica Martinez, Chair of Domestic Animal Welfare Commitee.

Dog owners will be bringing their own dogs dressed chic, with tuxedos and wedding gowns for pet nuptials as the wedding party paws down the aisle. The Pup-tuials will be followed by a pet luncheon treats, canine wedding cake.

The event is being organized by the Suffolk County SPCA to promote adoption from local shelters. The dogs are all rescue dogs particiating in the ceremony.
