The Exorcist (original) screening + Film Discussion with Professor Mascuch - Please join Professor Peter Mascuch after the show for a film discussion. Peter Mascuch is a professor of English and Film Studies at St. Joseph’s University.

 

Ghosts, Goblins & Witches Ballet - Get in the spirit of Halloween with a performance that will enchant the entire audience. Special lighting and effects. This fun ballet is full of dance tricks and treats. Watch dancers spin, leap and stretch in original choreography.

 

Halloween at The Heckscher - Kids and families are invited to celebrate Halloween at the Museum! Create a spooktacular art activity, make a haunted Digital Action painting, and take home a festive treat!

 

Spooky Fest - The Center for Science Teaching and Learning (CSTL) celebrates Halloween with Spooky Fest! Taking place at the Tanglewood Preserve in Rockville Centre, Long Island, the grounds are transformed into a family friendly Halloween event. Wooded paths and festivities on the preserve will be featured, with eerie lighting, special effects, and characters along the way. Everything is perfectly spooky and maybe just a little scary. (RAIN OR SHINE!).

 

Haunted Long Island Mysteries Book Talk at Tiny Raccoon Books in Sayville - Meet award-winning author Kerriann Flanagan Brosky as she talks about her career and her latest book, Haunted Long Island Mysteries. 4th Annual Greenport Halloween Village - Presented by the Greenport Business Improvement District in collaboration with the Village of Greenport on Saturday October 28 from 11am-8pm. The Village Halloween Parade starts at 11 am . Line up at 10:30 at Floyd Memorial Library. Free Carousel Rides, 11:30am-1:30PM. Trick or Treat through the Village, 12noon-3pm. Scavenger Hunt, "Skeletons in our Closets", 12noon-3pm. Storytime, 12:30 and 1:30, Blue Duck Bakery Cafe Courtyard, Trunk or Treat at the Polo Grounds, 2pm-8pm. Lots of surprises for ghouls and goblins, young and old! Rain Date, Sunday October 29.

 

RHUM Frights and Delights Halloween Party - Get ready for a spooktacular night of thrills and chills! Join us on Saturday, October 28th, from 8-11 PM on the 1st floor and the rooftop for our RHUM Frights and Delights Halloween Party! Oyster Bay Halloween Ghost Walk & Dance Party - Raynham Hall Museum presents Oyster Bay’s Annual Halloween Parade. Dress up in costume and bring your little ghosts and goblins (two & four legged varieties welcome) for a ghost parade through town. Please bring lanterns and noisemakers!

Great Jack-o-Lantern Sail - The Great Jack-O'-Lantern Sail will take place on Belmont at dusk. The first 50 carved pumpkins received are placed on flotation devices with battery operated lights inserted inside and sailed around the lake behind kayaks. Prior to the sail, there are children's activities including games, inflatables, funny photos and trick-or-treat stations. Families can walk through the ‘Spooky Den' and enjoy the displays created by our staff.

 

Haunted BOO-seum & Festival - You are invited to go on a spooky walk-through museum exhibits with haunted sea-inspired activities at every turn including Castaway Creatures and Davy Jones Locker where you can meet live critters, sponsored by Gellerman Orthodontics. The Whaling Museum & Education Center at  301 Main Street in Cold Spring Harbor.
