AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM SATURDAY TO 11 PM SATURDAY The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has issued an air quality health advisory for the following counties: Suffolk and Nassau. Air quality levels in outdoor air are predicted to be greater than an air quality index value of 100 for ozone. The air quality index, or A Q I, was created as an easy way to correlate levels of different pollutants to one scale. The higher the A Q I value, the greater the health concern. When pollution levels are elevated, the New York State Department of Health recommends limiting strenuous outdoor physical activity to reduce the risk of adverse health effects. People who may be especially sensitive to the effects of elevated levels of pollutants include the very young, and those with pre existing respiratory problems such as asthma or heart disease. Those with symptoms should consider consulting a physician. Roosevelt, NY - October 19th, 2013 - The First Squad is investigating a Robbery that occurred on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 6:15 AM in Roosevelt.
 
According to detectives, a 69 year old male victim was walking on Whitehouse Avenue when two male black subjects (no further description) pushed him to the ground and took his wallet from his pants pocket.  The subjects then fled the scene in an unknown direction.  Proceeds were personal papers and an unknown amount of US currency.  There were no reported injuries.  
 
Detectives request anyone with information regarding this crime to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.  All callers will remain anonymous.
