Mineola, NY - October 5, 2015 - Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano, the Office of Minority Affairs – in partnership with the Nassau Events Center (NEC) – today announced that a Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprises (MWBE) Networking Seminar will take place from 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 8th at the Theodore Roosevelt Executive and Legislative Building, located at 1550 Franklin Avenue in Mineola. The free seminar – sponsored by the Nassau County Office of Minority Affairs - is designed for MWBE’s to learn more about the transformation of Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum and construction contract opportunities.

County Executive Mangano stated, “Nassau County, Nassau Events Center and its contractor Hunt Construction are committed to the participation of Minority & Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBE) in this project. We invite local certified MWBE firms to join us for a special networking event to learn more about construction contract opportunities.”

Nassau Events Center (NEC), led by Bruce Ratner, Executive Chairman of Forest City Ratner Companies, has made significant progress preparing for the renovation of Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum and the on-site development of Long Island's future premier entertainment and retail destination.
