Suffolk County Police Commissioner Rodney K. Harrison, Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney and Suffolk County Sheriff Errol D. Toulon Jr. will join Dr. Christopher Long, CEO/President of Family Residences and Essential Enterprises, Inc. (FREE) in a ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate the opening of a cutting-edge facility that will help treat residents with fentanyl, heroin, cocaine, prescription pill, and other addictions.
 
The center provides a unique, comprehensive approach to assist those with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, many individuals who develop substance use disorders (SUD) are also diagnosed with mental health disorders. This facility addresses the co-occurring link by treating both.
 
Suffolk County law enforcement officials will outline the current fight against the growing number of fatal overdoses across Long Island.
