Coastal Flood Statement issued March 21 at 4:10PM EDT expiring March 22 at 2:00AM EDT by NWS Upton NY * LOCATIONS...Vulnerable coastal locales along the south shore of Suffolk County, and along Peconic and Gardiners Bay. * TIDAL DEPARTURE...Localized minor coastal flooding with tidal departures around 1 1/2 ft above astronomical tides tonight, and 1 to 1 1/2 ft on Friday morning. * COASTAL FLOOD IMPACTS...Brief minor flooding of the most vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline. * SHORELINE IMPACTS...Breaking waves will result in beach erosion with only minor damage possible to dune structures during the times of high tide. * TIMING...During the times of high tide tonight and Friday.

Little Neck, NY - September 26th, 2013 -  On Sunday, October 6th, 2013, Rocking The Road For A Cure will host a benefit motorcycle run and after-party.  The Police Escorted Run starts at Alley Pond Park, Winchester Blvd/Union Turnpike, Queens Village, NY. Registration begins at 9:30 AM.  Kickstands go up at 11:30AM.  For more information and to pre-register, please visit their website.

Driver pre-registrants will receive a free event T-shirt on the day of the event.

Join the After-Party: Hosted by Michael’s Porthole Waterfront Restaurant & Bar, 92 New Street, Oceanside, NY. The party features live music, food, vendors, judging & trophies, raffles, children’s entertainment and much more.  Adult Event Entrance: $20.00, Teens 12-17: $10.00, Children 11 & under: $5.00.  Free admission for Babies & Toddlers.
