UBS, along with its strategic partners Barron’s and EVERFI, are hosting a financial literacy and college prep day for over 400 students from the Sewanhaka Central High School District to provide crucial advice to the future leaders of tomorrow within the local community.
The event will take place on Monday, September 19, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at UBS Arena at 2400 Hempstead Turnpike in Elmont, NY.
The 400-plus students and faculty in attendance will be coming from five different high schools across Nassau County. The event will introduce UBS financial literacy resources along with expert advice from Barron’s and EVERFI to all students in attendance and will include a college prep curriculum.
Ria, the New York Islanders’ in-game host, will emcee the event and will be joined by members of the Islanders “hype team” who will engage with the students throughout the presentation. This event will also be a networking and mentoring opportunity for all students to help prepare them as they take their next steps in life.
