Suffolk County Announces Free Movie Nights in September

Suffolk County is hosting a series of free movie nights at its parks for residents this September. The County announced that all ages are welcome to enjoy the movies, which will be shown either at Lake Ronkonkoma County Park or Gardiner County Park.

We have proudly partnered with the Reclaim Our Water initiative, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, the Long Island Regional Planning Council's Nitrogen Action Plan, Plaza Cinema and Media Arts Center, and the Vanderbilt Museum and Planetarium for Suffolk County’s Free Community Movie Night, the post said.

 

Below are dates and locations for each showing:

 

  • Friday, September 3, 2021 - Elf at Lake Ronkonkoma, Lake Ronkonkoma County Park
  • Friday, September 17, 2021 - Matilda at Gardiner County Park, Bay Shore
  • Saturday, September 18, 2021 - Back to the Future at Lake Ronkonkoma County Park, Lake Ronkonkoma
  • Friday, September 24, 2021 - The Wizard of Oz at Gardiner County Park, Bay Shore
  • Saturday, September 25, 2021 - The Addams Family at Lake Ronkonkoma County Park, Lake Ronkonkoma

 

All movies begin at sunset. Bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on and guests are welcome to bring their own food and beverage. Tickets are required if you need a parking space.
