Southampton Police Report Two Arrests Made in Connection with Underage Alcohol Sales

Both subjects were released on appearance tickets, to be arraigned in court at a later date.

On Saturday August 19th, 2023 The Southampton Town Police Community Response Unit, in conjunction with the State Liquor Authority, conducted checks of local establishments to ensure they were compliant with State Liquor Authority Statutes. 
 
During that operation Gustavo Garcia, age 18, of Riverhead was arrested and charged with Unlawfully Dealing with a Child, a misdemeanor and Prohibited Sale of an Alcoholic Beverage under the NYS ABC law. Garcia was arrested after an investigation revealed he sold alcohol to someone under the age of 21, at The Garden Deli in Flanders. 
 
A female juvenile was also arrested and charged with Prohibited Sale of an Alcoholic Beverage under the NYS ABC law, after she sold alcohol to a person under the age of 21 at the 7-11 in Flanders. 
 
Both subjects were released on appearance tickets, to be arraigned in court at a later date. 
 
Southampton Town Police commended following establishments for being SLA compliant: The Station Bar (Hampton Bays), Club Ultra (Southampton), and Club Dream (Hampton Bays).
