Two Arrests Made in Connection With Farmingdale LIRR Station Mugging, Cops Say

Farmingdale, NY - August 17, 2018 - Second Squad detectives report the arrest of an East Patchogue woman and a Bay Shore man for a Robbery that occurred on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 11:35 p.m. at the Long Island Railroad Station in Farmingdale.
 
According to detectives, Patricia Jermone, 20, approached the victim, 34, and forcibly removed sneakers from his hands. During the physical struggle, Daniel Austin, 19, approached the victim with his hand in his waistband simulating that he was armed with a firearm. Both subjects removed and undisclosed amount of US currency from the victim’s vehicle and fled the scene on foot.
 
Patricia Jerome was located on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at her residence and placed under arrest without incident. Daniel Austin was located on Friday, August 17, 2018 and placed under arrest without incident.
 
Both defendants, Patricia Jerome and  Daniel Austin, are charged with Robbery 1st Degree and Robbery 2nd Degree. They will be arraigned on Friday, August 17, 2018 in First District Court, Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
