The First Squad reports the details of a Serious Vehicular Accident that occurred at 10:00am on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 in North Bellmore.
According to Detectives, at the intersection of Saw Mill Road and Jerusalem Avenue a male bicyclist, 14, was in the crosswalk attempting to travel westbound when he was struck by a white colored van. The suspect van fled the scene in an easterly direction.
The male victim, 14 was transported to a local area hospital where he was treated for a fracture, lacerations and bruising. The collision caused two black colored lower panels to fall off the suspect van and the driver is described as a white male.
