The Fifth Squad reports the arrest of a Valley Stream man for a burglary that occurred on Monday, July 17, 2023 at 4:14 a.m. in Valley Stream.
According to Detectives, officers responded to a 911 call for trespassing at 1015 Green Acres Mall. Upon arriving officers were informed that an unknown Hispanic male was seen on security video entering the gated underground truck delivery area of the mall. He was also seen entering the maintenance personal locker room and rummaging through lockers, during which he caused damage to a locker.
Officers conducted a search of the mall for the defendant, and located Rodolfo Umana, 37, of 114 Derby Street, attempting to hide inside the Banter Jewelry kiosk. He was placed under arrest without further incident.
Defendant Rodolfo Umana is charged with Burglary 3rd Degree. He will be arraigned on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hemsptead.
