Recently, Nassau County Legislator Debra Mulé (D-Freeport) proudly joined theBaldwin Fire Department and her colleagues in government to dedicate Fire Engine 206. As part of its christening, the state-of-the-art firefighting apparatus was memorialized with the names of the 29 members of the department dating back to 1899 who have lost their lives while actively serving the community.

“Dedicating the fire engine to the memory of those who gave their lives in service to their community is a fitting tribute that will keep their legacy alive for many years to come,” Legislator Mulé said. “It was a pleasure to join the leaders and members of the Baldwin Fire Department to welcome Engine 206 into active service and express our gratitude for the generations of Baldwin residents who have committed themselves to serving and protecting the community.”
