SCPD Crime Alert: Man Wanted for Robbing 4 Banks in Suffolk County

Patchogue, NY - June 30th, 2015 -  Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Pattern Crime Unit detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who robbed four banks.

One June 29 at approximately 9:40 a.m., a man entered the Chase bank, located at 472 Medford Ave., Patchogue, approached a teller and presented a note demanding cash. The teller complied and the man fled on foot.

On June 11 at approximately 4 p.m., the same suspect entered Chase bank, located at 2430 North Ocean Ave., Farmingville, demanded cash and fled with an undisclosed amount of money. On June 24 at approximately 2:30 p.m., he entered the Chase bank, located at 2650 Sunrise Highway, East Islip, presented a note demanding cash and left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money. The following day, he robbed Capital One, located at 131 Portion Road, Lake Ronkonkoma, at approximately 5:20 p.m. He fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

The man was described as white, between 35 and 45 years old, approximately 6 feet tall to 6 feet 2 inches tall with a thin build.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
