The Greater Jamesport Civic Association to Host Only Official Independence Day Ceremony in Riverhead Town

The public is invited to attend the free event which will include inspirational speakers including members of the US military, area elected officials, and the Riverhead Town Historian.

The Greater Jamesport Civic Association will host its annual commemoration to America’s independence on Friday, July 4 at 10 a.m. The event is the only official Independence Day commemoration in the Town of Riverhead.

The public is invited to attend the free event which will include inspirational speakers including members of the US military, area elected officials, and the Riverhead Town Historian. There will also be patriotic music, and VFW and NJROTC color guards.

The event will be held by the Honor Garden at the corner of South Jamesport Ave. and Main Rd. in Jamesport. The Jamesport Fire Department will provide a tent and chairs. The event will be held rain or shine.

WHEN: Friday, July 4 at 10 a.m.

WHERE: The Honor Garden at the corner of Main Rd. and South Jamesport Ave. Parking available at the George Young Community Center.
